Genshin Impact’s Golden Apple Archipelago has a quest where you’ll need to climb three huge mountains to open a special treasure chest. Our guide explains how to break the barrier on the chest and score some loot.
Genshin Impact’s Golden Apple Archipelago has a few world quests, including the “The Winding Homeward Way,” which is what the elemental contraption found on Minacious Isle is for. Our Genshin Impact guide will walk you through how to start, unlock the elemental pedestals, and complete the quest.
The Golden Apple Archipelago is a limited time area for patch 1.6, and it won’t be available after July 20, according to an in-game countdown. Make sure you complete your world quests and grab your loot before then.
If you’ve walked on Minacious Isle, you’ll notice the huge Harpastrum rings, along with elemental pedestals that are locked and unusable. To unlock them, climb up to the top of the mountain (or just take the Teleport Waypoint) and find the Seelie waiting at the opening of the cliff. Interacting with the Seelie will activate the “The Winding Homeward Way” quest.
Approach the Seelie and follow it down the cliff until it reaches the bottom, so you’re back at the Harpestrum rings. The Seelie will unlock the pedestals and light up a pillar with elemental symbols in the order you need to light the pedestals. Activate them in the following order:
Genshin Impact guide: A Trip Through Fog and Wind world quest walkthrough
Genshin Impact has a new world quest, “A Trip Through Fog and Wind,” in the Golden Apple Archipelago. It can be hard to unlock. In our guide and walkthrough, we’ll explain how to unlock the quest, navigate the waters, and find your loot.
You can use characters to light up the pedestals, or you can use the Harpastrum rings to ignite them. Both the Cyro and Anemo pedestals are on the ground, meaning you need to use any of the characters with those respective elements to activate them. The Pyro and Hydro pedestals are elevated and upside down, so the only characters that can easily activate those are Amber and Tartaglia. Use their charged bow shots to light the pedestals easily.
Amber is a default character, but if you don’t have Tartaglia, you’ll need to adjust the middle Hapestrum ring to Position 1 and fire the Harpastrum through the Hydro ring to light up the pedestal. If you don’t feel like taking out Amber, you can light up the Pyro pedestal by changing the middle ring to Position 2, and firing your Harpastrum through the Pyro ring. You can adjust the ring position by walking up to it and interacting with it.
After you do this, an ominous purple portal will open up in the middle, and the Seelie will go inside. Use the nearby Anemo wisps with an Anemo ability to launch yourself into the portal. This will warp you back to Teyvat.
Once you arrive, follow the Steelie until it stops near a suspicious boulder. Break the boulder to have the Seelie settle into its home, and the reward will appear. You’ll get Mora, EXP, and Primogems for your trouble.
The Golden Apple Archipelago has five other world quests that reward Primogems and other goodies:
- The Other Side of Isle and Sea
- From Outer Lands
- A Trip Through Fog and Wind
- Who Wields the Wild Wind?
- They Who Hear the Sea
Terra Nil is the video game version of ‘nature is healing’
Terra Nil is a chill “reverse city-builder” that’s a marvel to play. Ghibli-inspired graphics and animations spark joy while players solve simple puzzles. Our time with an early demo was well spent, but can its systems support more complex play?
